The NRB is an
initiative by RWTH Aachen University and located within a building of the
municipality of Heerlen. It is a former bank building, that was initially build
in 1970 by architects J.D and Ae.G. Postma from Rotterdam. It was renovated and
repurposed by Martens Willems & Humble architects into a temporary head
office for the Internationale Bauausstellung Parkstad in 2019. Today it hosts
the NRB.
But you may join our
community as well. It is possible to rent spaces in our building on a temporary
(events) or permanent (office) basis. Our facility has several rooms that can
host different sizes of groups. The use of the space should be in the spirit of
teaching and research and ideally be concerned with spatial transformation.
